Tell us a bit about your business. What do you do/ offer? 
Fabrik hair salon was established in 2007 and is situated in the Riverbank Lane, Hamilton. Fabrik offers cutting and colouring services focused on individuality, quality, and experience. Fabrik hair consists of a talented team of stylists and colourists. We provide expertise in our work, the space we do it in and the ethical products we use which are ammonia, sulphate, paraben, and cruelty free.

Favourite thing about the lane?
The location, the surroundings, the people, and neighbours. Being at work and just loving the environment, our salon, our clients, and our team.

What do you snack on when you’re at work?
Whatever is packed in our lunch boxes, failing that Bearded Weasel or Cafe Kopi treats.

Are you from Hamilton? 
Jamie originates from Edinburgh and Tracey from Whakatane.

Favourite coffee spot/ place to eat on your day off?
Cafe Kopi, Scotts Epicurean, Rocket Coffee.

What do you do for fun or to relax?
Bush walks/ bike rides with the family, play/ watch sports, drink beer, bet on horses, drinks and food at Mr Pickles or Last Place.

Favourite food of all time?
J - Lamb.
T - Oysters.

Summer or winter?
J - Winter.
T - Summer.

If you could retire tomorrow, what would you do?
Move to Glasgow and go to the pub.

What do you love most about Hamilton?
It's like Morrinsville but with a river.

What’s your favourite thing to spend money on?
J - Vinyl and beer.
T - Good, quality garments.

Any hidden talents?
Encyclopedic knowledge of British horse racing between 1970 and current day.

What did you do before getting into this job?
J - A fruit and vege delivery boy aged 13.
T - Garment production.

J - Early bird.
T - Night owl.

Needle in the Hay, Found, Harper Inc.
